Day Six: Barbados

We spent the day at the beach while we were in Barbados. It was a beautiful calm beach, and Stian spent a lot of time in the water in our arms. He seemed to be having fun. Unfortunately we don't seem to have taken more than a couple of pictures while we were there.

Day Five: Antigua

We left Stian napping with Grandma while we were in Antigua and headed in to do some shopping.

Day Four: Tortola

We didn't do too much in Tortola - just a little shopping. Stian wouldn't keep a hat on his head the whole vacation, so we had to be very careful about making sure he had plenty of sunscreen on his head. And unfortunately I think we got some in his eyes when we were in Tortola as he was quite grumpy. So we headed back to the ship early.

Day Three: Samana, Donimican Republic

The next day we were in Samana, Dominican Republic. We took a boat over to a small island and spent the day at the beach. It was very nice.

Days Two and Three: Getting to the Boat and Day at Sea

We got up he next morning and had a leisurely morning in Miami. Kris and I walked over to the grocery store to get a few things and left Stian with Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Karin, Uncle Brad and Klebo. He did great. He ended up dosing while cuddling with Grandma on the sofa.

We headed to the ship around noon. Getting on the boat wasn't too painful, but it did take awhile. They didn't have the pack n' play in the room waiting for us, so that was annoying, and it took awhile to get it. So Stian was pretty darn grumpy and in need of a nap by the time we finally got it.

The next day was a day at sea and Stian spent quite a bit of time in the kiddy pool and kiddy hot tub. He seemed to like both a lot.

Day One: Flying to Miami

We have a new airport here in Indianapolis, and it's really nice. Stian loved crawling all over the place while we waited for our flight. He also liked to watch all the planes and buses and cars and such.


He did great on the flight, even though it was a little tiny airplane. We got to Miami and our very nice hotel without any problems.

We're back!

We got back yesterday from our Caribbean cruise! We had a great time, and Stian loved it. He loved spending time with his family, especially his cousin Klebo. He really took off walking on the trip, it's amazing how different it is now to have a child who walks! He also learned lots of new words, including: semi, airplane, boat, ocean, island, Cuba, and cocktail.
