Peak!

One of Stian's favorite things to do is to play peak-a-boo. He loves to peak around a wall then hide again and then peak again, over and over. Or pull a blanket up over his face to play peak-a-boo.

Hair

Stian's hair is finally coming in. Well, it's been coming in for awhile, but it's so pale it's hard to see, especially in pictures. But I love how it sticks up on top. It's starting to get a little long on top so the weight of the hair is making it lie down. But it still sticks up after he's had a bath.

See & Say

Because Stian was bound to get lots of gifts for Christmas, he opened a few from Auntie Karin, Uncle Brad and Cousin Klebo the days leading up to Christmas. One was a See & Say - who knew they even still made these?! Stian loves it.

Klebo is neat

We are visiting Kris's parents in Minnesota for the holidays, and I am way behind in posting blog entries, but I will try to do a couple now while everyone is napping.

Stian has been having lots of fun hanging out with his Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Karin and Uncle Brad. But mostly he is having a blast hanging out with his Cousin Klebo - who is just the neatest. Fortunately Klebo likes Stian too and has lots of patience for playing with him.

Sleep

Stian slept through the night for the first time ever last night! Woo-hoo! Of course I woke up at 4:00 worrying about him and couldn't get back to sleep, so I couldn't really take advantage of it. But hopefully this will be the start of a new trend!

Tub Walker

This is rather hard to see, but we finally caught Stian on camera tonight using the plastic tub as a walker.

Stian helped Kris install safety locks on the cabinets under the sink this evening.

One Year Appointment

Stian had his one year appointment yesterday. He continues to be in good health and he continues to be HUGE! He's 30 7/8" long, putting him in the 75-90th percentile for height, and he's 26.5 lbs - the 90th to 95th percentile for weight. And his head is literally off the charts at 49.6 centimeters (19.5").

Scenes from a birthday

Stian turned one on Thanksgiving day. We were at my parents' house on Thursday and we had a little party for him in the afternoon. Then we went to Kris's parents' house on Friday afternoon and had a party for Stian that evening with his family.
