School photos

These were not nearly as funny as I thought they were going to be. I was there the morning they were taking the pictures so I went with them and both kids were being rather uncooperative. I had to bribe Stian with M&Ms to get him to get his picture taken at all. And we tricked him. I was sitting next to him, he thought I was in the picture too. And then normally happy, smiley Silje just stared at the photographer. But they're not as bad or as funny as I expected them to be. I expected matching scowls.

videos

Someone got new shoes. No, it wasn't Kris. Though I think he might be a tad jealous. This is Stian playing with them at about 6:45 am out on the driveway before school. Oh my goodness does he love these shoes.

Stian got pretty good at frisbee this weekend.

Trying to get Silje's laugh on video. We got a bit of a giggle, but not the full out laugh that she does.

Silje has been doing a good job holding her head up, so we decided it was time to pull out the bouncer this evening. She doesn't know what to do it in yet, but she was interested in watching Stian bounce her in it.

Labor Day

Kris and Stian went up to Minnesota for Labor Day weekend. Silje and I stayed here. Here are some pictures from their trip. It's hard for me to provide much commentary as I wasn't there.

Here they are swimming at Karin and Brad's:

4 months!

Silje turned 4 months old on the 11th. She had a pediatrician appointment on Monday. She is doing well. Nothing new there. She has a cardiology appointment next week, hopefully that goes well too.

Here are her stats:
weight 13 lbs 11 oz - 40th percentile
length 25.15" - 75th percentile

Darkness

Stian got up at 6:15 this morning and had to go outside immediately to ride his bike in the dark. Kris bought him a headlight that flashes for his bike, and it's much fun in the dark. Even if it is 6:00 am! Kris and I were both already up, so not a big deal. And it was actually a nice change. We usually, quite literally, have to drag him from bed while he moans and whines about being so tired. What's he going to be like as a teenager?

Wow!

What's missing from this picture?

And this one?

That's right!

Go Stian, Go!
