The Zoo

It's another beautiful day, so we took Stian to the zoo today. There were more animals and fewer people than the last time we went, so we had a nice relaxing time hanging out and looking at animals.















But of course this was Stian's favorite part of the zoo:

Tractor! Tractor! TRACTOR!!!

We went to the Steam and Gas Power Show today. Stian is slightly obsessed with tractors, so he was in heaven. It was fun and interesting, and a beautiful day for it. Stian really seemed to enjoy himself. It was interesting to see the old tractors and other farm machinery. Our local volunteer fire department was out too so he got to look at the trucks and we got to chat with some of the firefighters.

Ahhh Summer!

The sweet corn is ripe at the farm down the road, so Stian had his first ear of sweet corn tonight. He liked it!



Stian enjoys helping us water the gardens and plants in the evenings. As you can tell, he gets rather wet.



And this is what happens when you go on vacation for two weeks during the summer - monster zucchini!

Visiting Grandma and Grandpa Loftus

After I got back from Memphis we headed up to my parents' house at the lake. We spent several days there hanging out with my parents, Uncle Wayne and Cousin Nate. It was also much fun. Stian and Nate are starting to interact with each other, which is fun to see. Stian is a little young yet to know how to play with another kid, but he's starting to get there. Nate is ready so as soon as Stian gets it, I think they'll have lots of fun.
