I had a work thing earlier this week in Eastern Pennsylvania. Because I'm 34 weeks pregnant, my OB only agreed to let me go if I drove and I took Kris with me. So of course Stian came too. We took two days to get out there and two days to get back. It was interesting, I have never driven that way before. I had absolutely no idea Pennsylvania was so hilly/mountainous. This picture doesn't really show what it was like, but we had stopped at a truck stop.
We pulled Stian's bike out and he had lots of fun riding around for awhile.
On Monday while I was working Kris drove into Philadelphia to visit his friend Viggo who lives there. They wandered around and saw the sites, like the Liberty Bell. Unfortunately Kris left the camera in the car for that, but he had a stroller an umbrella and a three year old to wrangle, so it was probably just as well. But here is a picture of Stian with Viggo in Viggo's back yard.
On Tuesday Stian and Kris went to a train museum. Stian really liked it, except for the trains. Apparently he was quite scared of the actual trains, though he loved the room with the toy trains.
And then the next day we headed home again!
Well, the pitty, pitty, patter of a little bitty feet's Gonna pitty, pitty, patter through our house.

Sunday Afternoon
Stian has gotten so good at his balance bike. We bought him a two-wheeler with pedals this week, but it's too tall, and unfortunately they just don't make them any shorter. It'd be fine if he were going to use training wheels or if he were already confident on a two-wheeler with pedals. But he can just touch with his tippy-toes, and he's just not comfortable with it. It's too bad because I think he could totally do it if he could just feel comfortable enough to try. So hopefully his little legs will grow just a little bit more soon so he can give it a go. In the meantime he's happy on his balance bike.

One eyebrown raise
Stian has been able to raise one eyebrow since he was tiny. But he's using it appropriately now, which makes me laugh. He was doing it much better before I pulled out the camera, but here it is - sort of.
How do you like Stian's haircut? We took him to get his first haircut at a salon the other day and he totally flipped out and flat out refused to let them cut it. So Kris did it. It's not bad considering that's the first time Kris has ever cut anyone's hair and we don't have decent hair cutting scissors. It really needs to be touched up though - like layering it up on top and in front. But he's refusing to let us near him with scissors. Hopefully he won't have school pictures anytime soon...
