Two More

And then just two more pictures from the Thanksgiving break in Minneapolis that don't really go with any of the others, but are cute and worth posting.

Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Karin and Brad's house.

The Farm

After the burial we went over to the farm. Both to visit the place and to spread some of Kris's dad's ashes.

Burial

On the day before Thanksgiving we went down to Southwestern Minnesota to have the burial for Kris's dad. The church and graveyard are near the farm where he grew up.

Fourth Birthday - Take One

Stian got to celebrate turning 4 three times! Once with Kris's family, once with my family, and once with his friends.

We celebrated first with Kris' family. We went out to dinner and then to Brad's school to open presents. We knew he had some presents in there that it would be nice to play without side. But it was cold and dark, so we thought the cafeteria at Brad's school would be a good alternative, and it was perfect!

Santa

(things have been crazy around here and I just haven't had time to update this - but I'll work on it!)

The same day we went to the train museum we stumbled upon Santa at the mall. We had some time to kill between going out for breakfast and when the train museum opened, so we decided to go over to Rosedale. We walked in the door and Stian saw an escalator and wanted to go down it. (I hadn't really realized it, but there are no escalators in the Lafayette area, so this was a novelty.) We got to the bottom and there was Santa! And there was no one in line! So we brought everyone else down and had their picture taken. This was a great mall santa. He spent quite some time chatting with the kids. It was cute.



The kids aren't really dressed the way that I would have dressed them had I known they were going to get their (very expensive!) picture taken with Santa. But it was still neat, and I'm glad it happened the way that it did.
